D-Chai
Biography
D-Chai, whose real name is Daniel Kaltofen, came in contact with music early on. At the age of 8 years he got a piano and from then on he could not get away from it. At age 10, he wrote his first own pieces, which went in the direction of soundtrack. In 1994 he came into contact with electronic music for the first time. DJ's like Westbam, Carl Cox and many more fascinated him. The first turntable was bought and since that day, there was nothing else for him.
Producing and playing his own tracks has always been his goal. So a few years later he started his first steps with the software "Cubase". He quickly noticed that he was always merging electronic music with soundtracks. This is still very well audible in today's pieces. Now he wanted more. So it drove him from the cellar in the clubs.
He wanted to inspire people with his music. So he started the pre-program at the Apollo Club in Cologne. In renowned clubs such as the electric field, the canteen and clubs in Göttingen, he was able to assert himself as a DJ. As a resident, he started in 2011 at the Bleibtreusee Stransperle every summer.
However, he never lost sight of the production. Since 2016 he is under contract with Noreira Records and also released his first remix for Barbaros in 2016. Gradually, also their own singles such as, "Tayoe" and "Pointbreak" at the start. Further remixes for Marcus Decay and Barbaros followed in 2018. At the end of 2018 he produced together with Uli Poeppelbaum and Barbaros the track "Anagram".
At the beginning of 2019 the track "Kazoku" with a remix of Uli Poeppelbaum and Barbaros can be expected under the label "Stereo Poems". For mid-2019 his own album is planned.
In the future we will hear a lot from him.
