Behind The Electronic Advance and Mathew Brabham is the composer and producer Mathias Teichmann.

Mathias was born in 1980 in Jena and grew up in a small idyllic town called Bad Lobenstein. Already at the age of 13, he experimented with one of his best friends on various music programs and so his great passion for the production of electronic music was born. He spent countless hours in front of the computer and learned step by step to use the programs and techniques in composing and arranging music.

In 1996, Mathias and Marcel went public with their live act NO-VATION and played their first live gigs. At events that they organized themselves, they gained their first stage experiences. The two started off right when they got the chance in 1997 to play Groove Up in the Freiheitshalle in Hof on a big rave. In their scope, a compilation appeared on the next to you, sizes as Casseopaya and N-SON-X were represented. Despite the early season at this event, they brought the audience to a boil, which the organizer did not remain hidden and so countless appearances of the two followed. Among others at parties of the then very popular techno radio station EVOSONIC, as well as another compilation called Hot House. Among other things, Marcel and Mathias played with DJ greats such as DJ Taucher (a trance veteran, with some charter acts in the 90s like Infinity), DJ Tanith (from Westbam s Label Low Spirit), Marco Zafferano, (from the legendary label Harthouse) and many others more. The climax for the two, the release of their first own record, Trepitation EP, on the label Toxic Records. For spatial reasons, the way of the two separated in 2002 and the project NO-VATION was put on ice with a heavy heart.

After an artistic creative break and new equipment, Mathias started producing again in 2007. After a long and creative time in the studio and numerous tracks created, it was time to present them to the public and so in 2009 Mathias founded his first label, City of Drums, on which he now writes his solo productions, among his new projects, The Electronic Advance and Mathew Brabham published. In 2010, the first single, "Munich Airport", appeared under his pseudonym The Electronic Advance. It was followed by other singles under this project, such as Calling you and Electro Funk, the latter entered the iTunes charts in Kenya and stayed there for over 10 months. Also several appearances in Germany and Austria denied Mathias with this project. Biggest success for The Electronic Advance was # 2 in the Itunes Charts in Kazakhstan, titled Chasing The Sun, from the single Lazy Days.

With the Mathew Brabham project, Mathias initially moved more in the techno genre, but more and more the sound of Mathew became groovier and more melodious, until he finally found his new style. And how could one describe this sound now, surely some of you will ask yourself now? It could best be described as moving between dub-techno, tech-house and deep-house. But best of all, you make yourself a picture of his style, on one of his gigs where he gives his tracks, live to the best and with them the audience in sweaty nights sends.

With projects like Corosun, Abendrot or Liquid Hands Mathias also shows a very different side of himself. The Cillout productions of Corosun and Abendrot are almost a permanent guest on the iTunes charts. Palpations were achieved in Italy, Russia, France, Switzerland and also in Germany.

Since early 2014, Mathias also writes music for film and advertising, another challenge he pursues with enthusiasm. It is the dream of many musicians to have written a "movie score" at least once in their lives. One Million K (l) icks and Ultimate Justice were the first film projects for which Mathias has taken over the composition of the music. The latter had its cinema premiere in Hollywood at the end of 2017.

In cooperations with various DJ s and producers such. Chris Laconi, DJ Nasty Deluxe and Somnia, shows Mathew a range that he has acquired over the years. Each of these projects has its own unique charm and style, though you can always hear the "Mathew" a bit, if you listen carefully. You may be curious where the journey leads to Him, but one thing is for sure! Even after the long history Mathias already has behind him, the end is far from over! because He lives for the music! Or rather, Mathias is music!
